ATTENTION STUDENTS: In an effort to curtail the rampant tardy problem, beginning Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, we will make random announcements immediately after the start of at least one class period during the day designating the period as a Saturday School period. Students late to class for that class period will be assigned Saturday School. We’re hoping that these “surprise” Saturday School Lockouts will create an incentive to get to class on time. Seniors should be especially attentive to this new procedure as time for clearing Saturday Schools is limited for those hoping to participate in Senior activities and graduation. Teachers may still assign Lockout detentions for other class periods throughout the day. (AP Williams)
