INTERESTED IN SUMMER SCHOOL? Summer School Applications are now available in the counseling center. Please stop by TODAY to pick up your application. Make sure you turn in the forms right away before classes fill up. (Yamada)

ATTENTION STUDENTS: TOMORROW, Tuesday, March 11 and Wednesday, March 12 are minimum days for all students. School will be in session from 7:30 AM to 12:10 PM. Periods 0 and 7 will NOT meet on those two days. Students interested in earning Saturday School credit may remain after school until 3:30 PM to earn credit for one Saturday School. Interested students should report to the cafeteria by 12:15 PM to begin the Saturday School service. (S. Williams)

JUNIORS: Now is the time to start narrowing down your college/university search! A representative from San Diego State will be here on March 24, 2008, at 10:00 am. You must have a minimum 2.75 GPA . Sign up in the Counseling Center. (Di Stefano)

TO ALL STUDENTS: If you are interested in the military and/or ROTC, this information night is a must. Admissions counselors from each service academy, meaning the US Naval Academy (Annapolis), the US Military Academy (West Point), the US Air Force Academy (Colorado Springs), the US Coast Guard Academy (New London), and the US Merchant Marine Academy (Kings Point) will be represented. Also representatives of all college ROTC programs will be there and Congressional Office Representatives will be available to answer questions. It will take place March 20, Thursday, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM off Spectrum Center Blvd in San Diego. See Ms. Gerlack for a flier.

ALL GRADES: Scholarship opportunity. If you are creative, this is a great opportunity for you. The scholarships is Donate Life. It is a poster contest. $5000 will be given out. You design a poster. You have a choice of 5 categories. That's it! Due March 31.

9TH – 11TH GRADE STUDENTS: If you are planning on attending a four year college or university upon graduation remember that you should be enrolling in three or more years of science. (Science Department)

SENIORS: Yes another fantastic scholarship opportunity. This one is the Junior Seau Foundation. They are giving away 4 scholarships at $10,000 each; 9 scholarships at $5000 each and 14 scholarships at $2500 each. Only for San Diego County Students. You must be planning on attending a 4 year college/university in the fall. Minimum GPA is 2.5 and they are looking for community and/or school involvement. Do not miss this opportunity!!!!




JUNIORS: Scholarship opportunity. Must like to write poetry. The Leonard Milberg '53 Secondary School Poetry Prize is awarding between $100 and $500 dollars. All you have to do is submit up to 3 poems. Pick up info in the counseling center.

SPRING COACHES: (1) Chula Vista Photo cannot take your team photos until Monday/Tuesday after Spring Break. Please call 422-9281 and let's get him here ASAP that week. (2) Please send me your team roster NOW (I know you are waiting on grades) so I can get the index completed for the yearbook. Thank you for your cooperation. SEA MEMBERS: State Delegate elections are being done this week. Please stop by Rm 608 to cast your vote. Candidates names have been placed in your boxes. You can vote for up to 24 delegates.
