SCHOOL WISDOM OF THE DAY: Some days, hopefully not everyday, you will need to psych yourself into doing homework. Tell yourself, more than once if necessary, “I’m going to get this task completed, and I’m going to do it quickly.” (Radford)
LANCERS: The Awareness About AIDS Club is giving out fliers for Hot Dogs on a Stick through your second period teacher. On Thursday, if you go to the Plaza Bonita location between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m., 20% of the proceeds of your purchase will go to our club which, in turn, supports "Keep a Child Alive" helping orphans of AIDS in Africa. Help us with this great cause. Enjoy some yummy hot dogs, have some fun with your family and friends and support a greater Lancer cause. Ask your teacher for a flier. (Radford)
ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: The School-to-Career Office will be closed during Spring Break - Monday, March 17, 2008 - Friday, March 21, 2008 . If you need a Work Permit please plan to stop by our office prior to the close of business (4:00p.m.) on Friday, March 14, 2008.

FACULTY SECTION
PLC TIDBITS OF THE DAY: A goal needs to be ATTAINABLE: within the realm of our influence or control, and doable given current resources. To know whether a goal is attainable, you must know your starting point (baseline), how much time you have to accomplish the goal, and what kinds of resources you have to make the necessary changes. Setting a goal that is attainable then becomes an art of balancing the degree of stretch that will make the goal compelling without making it unattainable. (Radford)
TEACHERS: TODAY you will have a flier for Hot Dogs on a Stick in your mailboxes. Please give these to your period 2 classes (or anyone else who would like one). On Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., anyone ordering food at the Plaza Bonita location of Hot Dogs on a Stick who has a flier from us will be helping the Awareness About AIDS club. Our club is sending a donation to "Keep a Child Alive", an organization that helps orphans of AIDS in Africa. Thanks for encouraging your students to help out. (Radford)
PADRE BASEBALL GAME: Join us for a baseball game on Sunday, May 25th at 1:05p.m.!!! Padres vs. the Cincinnati Reds. We need your commitment and $45 payment before the end of the week. Cash or checks accepted. Please make checks payable to: Miguel Blanco. All for a good cause. See Yoly for details. (Arredondo/W. Williams)
SEA MEMBERS: State Delegate elections are being done this week. Please stop by Room 608 to cast your vote. Candidates names have been placed in your boxes. You can vote for up to 24 delegates. Mark your choices on the yellow sheet and bring it with you to simplify the voting process. Thank you for your cooperation. (Sawyer)
