SCHOOL WISDOM OF THE DAY: Relationships with negative, discouraging people can drain away your time and energy that might be better spent in investing in YOUR OWN future. (Radford)
ATTENTION STUDENTS: Beginning TODAY, Monday, March 31, 2008, students late to period 1 will be subject to Saturday School detention. Saturday School detentions have been assigned randomly throughout the day to periods 2 through 6. We believe that tardies to these periods have decreased. However, tardies to period 1 remain a major issue. You must get to ALL classes on time to avoid Saturday School. (S. Williams)
COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS: There will be an opportunity to receive credit and have some fun by helping out with the "Historic Home Tour" on May 10th. Please see Ms. Hitchcock in the Counseling Center for more information. (Hitchcock)

FACULTY SECTION
PLC TIDBITS OF THE DAY: The perception that teamwork is time consuming is part truth, part fiction. Here are some of the reasons teamwork is considered to be so time consuming: it is treated as an add-on, not as a different way to accomplish better results; time is viewed as the enemy (We only have an hour to do this!) as opposed to being viewed as an ally (“We have an hour together—let’s see how much we can do); New learning always takes time. But because of the pressure to perform, teams seldom get past the threshold of the learning curve to a point where members can perform effectively together; what seems urgent almost always draws us away from what is important…thus time often seems to be devoted to managing a crisis, leaving little time to address the root cause of the crisis. More tomorrow on…TIME. (Radford)
