INTERACT CLUB: There will be a meeting TODAY in room 408 during lunch. Nominations are being taken for officer election.
SUMMER SCHOOL: Students, for those of you that signed up for Biology as NEW WORK in Summer School this year, it will not be offered as NEW WORK. It is only going to be offered as REPEAT WORK. You will have to re-do your application for summer school and re-submit it. Please see your counselor to correct this error. Make sure the word REVISED is across the top of the new application. PRINCIPAL’S ROUND TABLE: There will be a Principal’s Round Table meeting TOMORROW Thursday, April 17th during period 4. (Ocampo)
COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY: Community service is available to students ages 16 and up. The San Diego Gymnastics Academy at Montgomery Waller Recreation Center is seeking patient people who are upbeat, responsible and reliable to help guide students in their rotation and to spot/help gymnasts with their skills when needed. ATTENTION STUDENTS: Remember that you may not be out of class without a valid pass. You must arrive to all classes on time, and you may not leave class early. Student aides must also abide by these rules. Students out of class without a pass will be assigned Saturday School. Finally, the cafeteria will not begin selling food until the bell rings to begin the lunch period.

SENIORS: Southwestern Community College will be hosting a tour of the campus for seniors who will be attending next year on May 7th from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. Please pick up permission slips in the counseling office, they must be returned to Mrs. Harken by Friday April 25th! (Harken)

ATTENTION STUDENTS: Southwestern College will be offering courses here again next year. Check with your counselor to make sure you qualify for them. One will be the SWC Art Class and the other one is the SWC Administration of Justice class with Mr. Monti. These classes will give you a high school credit and a college credit. They are both offered right here on our campus: one is being offered 6th period, the other will be 7th period. Take advantage of this opportunity. Crystal Burns is in the Counseling Center on Monday and Wednesday’s and will be able to help you with the application process for either of these classes. (Kaine)

JUNIORS: If you are interested in a sports related career, sign up in the Counseling Center in order to attend a presentation from American Sports University located in San Bernardino, CA. Information will be given for students planning a career in Sports Management, Sports Coaching, Sports Marketing, Sports Training and Fitness & more. PLC TIDBIT OF THE DAY: When meetings are going well, people are engaged in the content—paying attention to the WHAT of the meeting. However, every team runs into situations where it helps to have someone paying attention to the HOW: The methods the team is using to conduct the meeting. The skill associated with guiding HOW a team works together is called facilitation. (Radford)
