Also the M & M scholarship for a Hilltop student with spirit and who will be attending SDSU is available. The last scholarship I have is the Madden scholarship. More than 1 will be given out for students attending Southwestern College in the fall. All you have to do is write a small essay on why you want that scholarship. Can not get any easier than that. The due date will be extended.

FACULTY SECTION

PLC TIDBIT OF THE DAY: There are two types of standardized tests: norm-referenced and criterion-referenced. When we want to compare how our students are performing relative to another group, we say that the data are norm-referenced. That means that the test data have been converted to the normal curve so that scores can be compared to a larger population of test takers. Criterion referenced tests are designed to identify with what a student knows in relation to specific objectives. Standards-based, criterion-referenced assessments allow schools to compare how students do against predetermined specific standard of performance. (Radford)

WASC STUDENT SURVEY: The following English teachers need to report to the library or Room 302 (computer lab) at the start of period 2 so that students can participate in the categorical needs assessment survey:

McSwain, please report to the Library
Anguiano, please report to room 302

REMINDER TO SPRING SPORT COACHES: You need to have your completed Coaching Verification Form submitted to Mr. Alvarado by Wed., May 7 to receive your coaching stipend in your June 30 pay warrant. Don’t delay. (S. Williams)
