Criteria for Honors/AP |
 |
A student must meet at least three of the following criteria for placement in Honors or Advanced Placement classes:
- An "A" or "B" grade in previous same-subject class.
- Scores at or above the 80th percentile on SAT-9 in area relevant to course.
- Overall unweighted academic and citizenship GPA of at least 2.75.
- Teacher recommendation.
Note: A student wishing to take blocked Honors/AP courses, such as English 11 HN and AP U.S. History, must have a recommendation from BOTH the English and History teachers to meet this criteria.
