• Hilltop High's Accelerated Reader Program helps students improve their reading skills and have fun, too!  Students select an Accelerated Reader book, record their reading on a special log sheet, and then take a computerized test to show they have read the book with understanding. Passing scores are incorporated into English scholarship grades. 

• Hilltop High has quizzes on over 6,200 titles with more to be added throughout the year, assuring students a wide selection of reading materials at all levels. The most reading growth will occur when students read within their "zone," the recommended personal target range, based on current reading levels. This information will be discussed with students at the beginning of each semester.

• Check the AR Quizzes Title Lists A-Z and AR Spanish Language Quizzes Title Lists A-Z to see if Hilltop High has a specific title. 

• Congratulations to the Reading Wall of Fame with Top Point Earners and HHS Point Clubs members who pass quizzes with 80 percent or better.

• Lancer readers evaluate and rate the AR books with results posted on Our Favorite Books.
