Parents and Seniors:

Please remember Friday ( Sept 3) is Progress report day. Hilltop High School gives out 2 progress reports then the final grades. First semester will be over prior to the December holiday break.

Parents please note that Seniors need to have a 2.0 GPA in Citizenship in order to walk in the graduation ceremony for 2011. If your Senior does not have a 2.0 GPA in Citizenship on the first (1st) progress report please remind him/her of how crucial this will be as we approach final grades in December and then in June 2011. The Citizenship GPA will be computed strictly for the Senior Year.

Citizenship GPA Calculations:
For the Class of 2012, it will be their 11th and 12th grades.
For the Class of 2013, it will be their 10th, 11th and 12th grades.
For the class of 2014, it will be their 9th, 10th and 11th and 12th grades.

QUESTION:
***If a student does not walk, will they be able to pick up their diploma?

Yes, of course, they will. They will come to the Registrars office in room 306
(Counseling Center)and pick it up after graduation is over.

California's deep budget crisis is putting public education to the test. As we look for areas to reduce spending, we want parents, staff and community members to be part of the budget-making process.

The district will hold four "town hall" meetings over the next couple of weeks where you can hear directly from the Chief Financial Officer. As we search for savings, we'll start by looking at options that were rejected last year. But we are also looking for new ideas.
