My name is Rick Lakin and I am a math and video productions teacher at Southwest High School in San Diego, California. I grew up in Minerva Park during the 50s, 60s and 70s. Minerva Park is a very special place for children and so I put this page together for those who grew up in Minerva Park and for those children who are learning about technology to find something about their own community.

I would like to thank Vernon Pack for putting the hundreds of hours into this project and completing an excellent history of the community of Minerva Park. I met Vernon on my trip home and he continues to invest time in the field of local history.

Special thanks go to Cheryl Johnson of CAJ Communications in Galena, Ohio for reading through the web page with the critical eye of an editor. Cheryl spotted many boofs and blunders that I failed to catch and made some excellent suggestions that I have yet to implement.
