
About the Author-Vernon Pack
Vernon Pack grew up in New Jersey and New Mexico.
Following nearly 3 years in the Service during World War II, he enrolled
at Otterbein College at Westerville, Ohio. He earned the Master's Degree
from The Ohio State University in 1958.
His first public school teaching assignment was in 1950. His specialty was
Ohio History. He often presents slide shows covering the Buckeye State in
the Central Ohio area.
Mr. Pack has many leisure-time activities. He gives readings at various
health facilities. He has been historian of an American Legion post for
more than 40 years. He is the current editor of the weekly newsletter of
the Rotary Club of Westerville as well as its historian and archivist.
Vernon has had nearly 70 stories and four mini-books published. They deal
with a multitued of Ohio topics. He is a past president, four terms of the
Westerville Historical Society and has edited its newsletter for the past
35 years. Presenting slide programs is one of his favorite activities.
